Pod Fit Adelaide has 2 titled Australian Podiatrist's Of The Year 2019 & 2022

Physiotherapy at Pod Fit Adelaide

We are proud to work alongside a team of passionate Physiotherapists from Physio Fit at both Modbury and Findon clinic locations in Adelaide. At Pod Fit Podiatry we pride ourselves on taking a multidisciplinary and holistic approach to your care. Foot and ankle problems can often have a close relationship with knee, hip, back and nerve issues. Physiotherapists are experts in assessing and identifying these very issues to help resolve pain for the long term. Your Physiotherapist and Podiatrist will work closely together to ensure that you are getting the most thorough plan for your condition.

At Physio Fit a typical physiotherapy treatment session will start with your physiotherapist taking a full history of your concern to complement the information already gained by your podiatrist. From there, your Physiotherapist will perform a thorough assessment, including functional movement screening, strength assessment, range of motion assessment and other relevant testing to get an understanding of what factors are contributing to your condition. Your physiotherapist will then give you a detailed explanation and plan about how treatment will complement the plan you are working on with your Podiatrist.

The latest technology sits at the forefront of Physiotherapy care at Physio Fit , with access to equipment usually only reserved for elite athletes. This advanced technology is included as part of the assessment and treatment process where required for many conditions at the clinic. No referral is required from your Podiatrist to receive Physiotherapy at the clinics.

Advanced assessment equipment at Physio Fit Physiotherapy includes:

VALD Forceframe and Nordbord technology – this allows both baseline strength testing, assessment of fatigue over time, and highlights differences between left and right limbs to give the clearest picture of how to get you out of pain or poor movement patterns
Boost Anti-Gravity Treadmill – Physio Fit Physiotherapy are the only private clinic in Adelaide to have access to an Anti-Gravity Treadmill! The treadmill helps people with conditions that require reduced weight bearing through their feet, legs or back due to injury or surgery, to get back to moving once again! The treadmill is a game changer in fast tracking rehabilitation for many lower limb conditions.
RunScribe running analysis technology – unique technology which provides an advanced approach to Running Assessment! If you’re a runner wanting to know more about your form whether due to injury or purely wanting a screen then this is a must for you.
Handheld strength testing dynamometry – this technology allows the most accurate testing results for more tailored and progressive rehabilitation programs- as the team say, if not you’re assessing, you’re guessing!
